Happy Birthday Just Geens Kitchen



So I recently celebrated the one year anniversary of Just Geens Kitchen (JGK) and I can honestly say, it has been an amazing and overwhelming year.

To think what started out as a side hustle alongside my other endeavours, has turned out to be an amazing business venture.


The reason why I started the meal prep services, was because I found nutrition to be the hardest part of losing weight. I knew how to workout, but controlling what I put in my system before and after I worked out was the hard part. So I wanted to combat this problem and started preparing my meals in advance.

I’ve always enjoyed cooking for other people so preparing other people’s meals came natural to me.

The purpose of the event was to not only celebrate the one year, but to also allow people to taste some of my signature dishes.




Upon entry, guests were greeted with a glass of my Green Smoothie which included Spinach, Banana, Pineapple, Strawberry and almond milk.




It worked like a food tasting party, where each dish was served canapé style.  The food options were:

Spicy Lamb Burger








Plantain Lasagne



Sweet Potato Waffles & Baked Crispy Chicken





Jollof Quinoa 


Salmon burgers, Strawberry & Mango Cheesecake Shots were also served, but I didn’t get any pictures.

Vita Coco was available to quench everyone’s thirst and definitely kept everyone hydrated.




Music was supplied by my favourite vietnamese boy, DJ Neptizzle and the projection and lighting was provided by VNV Live.

This is just the beginning for Just Geen’s Kitchen as the plan is to open up a restaurant in the near future and from the feedback I received for this event, everyone is just as excited as I am for the official opening of the restaurant…so stay tuned.
