So one of my goals this year is to find an alternative way to get a workout in. Gym is great, but it has come to that point where I am actually getting bored and looking for new challenges. So I took myself down to the Kelechnekoff Studio in Hackney, Clapton, for a private pole and twerk fitness session with my bad ass sister in fitness, Kelechi.
The dance studio offers a range of pole fitness and twerk lessons. There are classes for all levels, so whether you’re a beginner or a professional, Kelechi can accommodate all.
I’ll be the first to admit, I underestimated the skill and strength required to perform pole moves. Kelechi is a brilliant teacher. She breaks each move down to a level of understanding and you can tell she really knows the technique and science behind each move, so you feel safe in her hands.
Classes range between 60-90 minutes long and are sure to leave your whole upper body and core extremely worked. Lets put it this way, its taken much longer than expected to type this blogpost because my arms and shoulders are in pieces lol.
