Post-Holiday Detox


I’ve been sipping unlimited Strawberry Daquiri’s and Pina Colada’s for the past 7 days, whilst enjoying the Caribbean sun.

So I think it’s only fair that I respect myself this week by replacing those oh so sweet cocktails for some raw detox juice.

The ingredients for my detox juice are as follows:

3 Slices of Cucumber

1 handful of blueberries 
Half a Lemon or Lime
1/2 tbsp grated Ginger
3-4 Mint Leaves
1/2 tbsp of Honey





I will be drinking this first thing in the morning as this refreshing drink is to help get rid of toxins and also melt fat.

Why these five ingredients?


Ginger is a great ingredient to boost up your metabolism for the day as it aids better digestion by increasing the digestive juices and improves the absorption of nutrients in the body.

Mint Leaves contain antioxidants and minerals which also improves digestion. It also gives a fresh minty taste to the water.

Blueberries are antioxidants and natural fat burners.

Cucumber and Lemon both maintain your metabolism throughout the day…

…and Honey cleanses the gut and adds a hint of sweetness.
