Smoothies are a convenient and healthier alternative to things like a fry up or Sausage and Egg Mc Muffin from Mc Donald’s. –

However, some smoothies contain too much sugar so you need to be careful. Fruits contain natural sugars which the body metabolises quickly, so do not be surprised if you do find yourself hungry not too long afterwards. –

I have 2 tips to help with this:

1. Choose ingredients which are high in fibre (kale, kiwi, flax seeds, chai seeds and pears) as they keep you full for longer.
2. Use more vegetables than fruit or use the same amount of fruits to the same amount of vegetables.
