The train to slay challenge has been one of the first challenges I’ve ever done and it will not be the last!
This challenge came at a time when I needed to find my focus again after suffering a tragic loss at the the end of 2018. I lost my self confidence, I became very self critical of myself and was always waiting for a Monday. No matter how many hours I spent on YouTube/Instagram browsing through all the transformations, I just couldn’t find the motivation to get started. I looked at the train to slay challenge as the time to break bad habits and rekindle my love for fitness, health and strengthen my mind. I’m so thankful I did.
The challenge included a 30 day workout plan with easy to follow video tutorials as well as a very detailed nutrition plan which I believe was the main reason for loosing 4 inches off my mummy tummy. The workouts were challenging and there were many I wanted to avoid but I knew nothing worth having was going to come easy and for things to change, I needed to change my mindset. I felt every single workout! I loved the fact that it was none of this fancy stuff you see online. The workouts utilised the most commons moves yet they had maximum effect on the entire body. I’ve always struggled with “gym anxiety” and worried about looking silly doing things I wouldn’t normally but those thoughts don’t phase me as much. Using the nutrition plan included, I had more fatloss than weightloss which was key for me because my diet needed adjusting big time. I’ll be adding all of these workouts into my other gym sessions and I’ll be looking forward to the next challenge.
